Why CrowToes Exists

Growing dealerships don’t usually struggle because they lack software, websites, or leads.

They struggle because growth creates operational complexity.

As more leads arrive, more employees become involved, more software gets added, and more handoffs occur between departments, customer-facing operations become increasingly difficult to coordinate.

CrowToes was created to help growing EcoWater dealers maintain reliable execution as operational complexity increases, so opportunities don’t fall through the cracks as the business grows.

Why EcoWater Dealers

CrowToes focuses on EcoWater dealers because customer-facing operations become increasingly difficult to coordinate as dealerships grow.

Over the years, we’ve worked closely with business owners, office staff, sales teams, coordinators, and the systems supporting day-to-day operations. Along the way, we’ve seen many of the same challenges emerge as businesses scale.

Lead follow-up becomes harder to manage. Information gets entered into multiple systems. Processes become less consistent. Reporting becomes more difficult to trust. More time gets spent manually coordinating between people, departments, and software platforms.

These challenges are rarely unique to a single dealership. They are often the natural result of growth.

By focusing on EcoWater dealers, CrowToes is able to bring a deeper understanding of the operational realities, common bottlenecks, and customer-facing processes that a growing water equipment installation and maintenance company is likely to encounter as complexity increases.

The Angel Water Story

CrowToes began working with Angel Water when annual revenue was approximately $4 million.

Since then, the dealership has grown beyond $20 million in annual revenue, adding employees, expanding operations, adopting new systems, and serving a larger volume of customers.

As the business grew, customer-facing operations became increasingly complex. More leads needed to be handled. More information needed to move between teams. More systems became involved in the lead-to-sale process. More coordination was required to keep everything moving smoothly.

Throughout that growth, CrowToes helped support the coordination of lead handling, customer communications, sales processes, reporting, and the systems driving day-to-day operations.

The experience provided a firsthand view of how operational complexity develops as dealerships scale, where opportunities commonly fall through the cracks, and why reliable execution becomes increasingly important over time.

Many of the principles that guide CrowToes today were shaped by years spent supporting customer-facing operations inside a growing dealership.

What We Believe

Growth Creates Operational Complexity

As dealerships grow, more leads arrive, more employees become involved, more software gets added, and more handoffs occur between departments. Growth creates opportunity, but it also creates operational complexity.

Manual Coordination Does Not Scale

Many growing dealerships rely on people to bridge gaps between systems, processes, and departments. While this often works in the early stages of growth, manual coordination becomes increasingly difficult to maintain as volume increases.

Systems Are Rarely The Problem

Most dealerships already have the tools they need, and they use them well. The challenge is often the coordination happening between those tools, the people using them, and the processes connecting them.

Reliable Execution Really Matters

Small inconsistencies become larger problems as organizations grow. Reliable execution helps ensure customer-facing operations continue functioning as expected, even as complexity increases.

Operational Knowledge Should Not Live Only In Employee Heads

Critical business processes should be visible, repeatable, and understandable across the organization. When operational knowledge exists only in the minds of a few key employees, growth becomes more difficult to sustain.

About Michael:

CrowToes was founded by Michael Croteau.

For more than a decade, Michael has worked alongside growing businesses to improve the systems, processes, and workflows that support customer-facing operations. Over time, that work evolved beyond websites and software into a deeper focus on operational coordination and lead-to-sale reliability.

Much of that perspective was shaped through years of supporting a growing EcoWater dealership, where operational complexity increased alongside revenue, employee count, customer volume, and the number of systems involved in day-to-day operations.

Today, Michael works directly with every CrowToes client, leading discovery, process mapping, solution design, and implementation.

Rather than beginning with software recommendations or generic best practices, his approach focuses on understanding how a dealership actually operates and identifying practical improvements that make customer-facing operations more reliable as the business grows.

Why We Accept Only Six New Clients Per Year

Operational coordination requires direct involvement.

CrowToes begins every engagement by spending time understanding how a dealership actually operates. That includes on-site discovery, process mapping, solution design, and hands-on implementation support.

Every dealership is different. The people, processes, systems, and operational challenges involved in one business rarely look exactly like another. Effective recommendations require context, observation, and a clear understanding of how customer-facing operations function in practice.

Because of that, CrowToes does not operate as a high-volume agency or consulting firm.

Limiting the number of new implementation clients each year allows for deeper involvement, more thoughtful solutions, and a higher level of support throughout the engagement.

For that reason, CrowToes accepts no more than six new implementation clients per year.
